Facility Maintenance

Support Staff:  Facilities Manager

Duties:  General kennel maintenance including cleaning and disinfecting cat rooms and dog runs; Facility maintenance & upkeep including landscape projects, miscellaneous repairs, painting, and special projects 

Required Training:  On the job training sessions, task specific, with designated staff member 

Qualifications:  Genuine concern for the welfare of animals that is compatible with the philosophy of the ASWRV; Ability to follow work plans, both independently and as part of a group; Handyman experience helpful, but not required;  

Time Commitment:  Two hour shifts to be pre-arranged and scheduled with the kennel manager. 

Significance of job to the Animal Shelter of Wood River Valley:  A major goal of the shelter is to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living accommodations for all animals while they are in our care. Providing housing for this many animals requires constant upkeep and improvements. Upgrades to the facility, directly effects the quality of life for all of the animals.

Join us at Hikin' Buddies! Each Wednesday ASWRV dogs will be vying for your attention at the Adams Gulch Trailhead, hoping you can take them for a hike. The Shelter brings family friendly, adoptable dogs to Adams Gulch from 9:30-1:00 and encourages members of the community to take the dogs out from some exercise.
