POE - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED !!!
POE: Medium size neutered male Labrador Retirever. Estimated DOB December 2010 -- Poe was surrendered to the shelter when his owner was no longer willing to care for him. It seems Poe was a great house dog -- housebroken, fine when left alone, and easy going when people came over to visit. Poe is an exuberant dog and has lots of energy. He will do best with an active lifestyle which includes daily exercise. At the shelter, Poe is friendly with people and dogs and has already proven to be a wonderful hiking buddy. He does however, have a bit of a stubborn streak and is not always willing to comply with your wishes. We are recommending a home with dog experience, and one without young children. He will require a benevolent adopter willing to take the time to gain his confidence and use positive reinforcement training to teach him his new household rules and boundaries. We think he would enjoy another friendly canine in the home, and a more structured routine. Our handsome Poe is not a literary genius, but is ready to become someone's loyal companion forever.
